This Toulouse walk from Palace de Justice to Wilson Square takes about half an hour to one hour. It will take you past most of the historic sites of the city, including the Museum of Toulouse, Theatre Sorano, Grand Round, Cathedral St Etienne, St George’s Square and finally Wilson Square.
Toulouse Walk: Starting from Palace de Justice
If you are staying at the Maison d’Anjali in Toulouse like I did, then turn right when you leave the building. Walk all the way to the corner, where you will see the tram stop. Turn right and walk along the big boulevard called Allee Jules Guesde until you reach a big roundabout: the Grand Round.
As you walk along most museums will be on your right hand side. Past the Grand Round will be another wide avenue at the end of which you will find the World War I memorial. Turn left here and walk past Cathedral St Etienne. The square here is very pretty with some nice cafes on either side. Walk up north on Rue de Boulbonne, past St Georges Square and you will soon arrive at Wilson Square. If you feel like eating I would recommend the Pizza Pino. They make amazing pizzas, my favourite is the chicken pizza topped with red and green pepper.
