The UK’s leading and longest running travel show, ‘Destinations: The Holiday & Travel Show’, is back! The event will take place at two locations in London and Manchester, and will be bigger than ever in 2017!
The show is promising to be a good one, with over 550 travel brands in London, including leading tour operators. Over 70 tourist boards from across the globe, cultural entertainment and exotic world flavours will also be present!
According to the organizers, the Destinations Show is essential for travel inspiration. Not only that, it is also the perfect place to indulge in a passion for travelling with food tastings and other events.
Destinations Travel Show
I registered at the Destinations Travel Show, which runs from 2-5 February. A special feature of the London show is the ‘Stanfords Travel Writers Festival’. It is a programme of exclusive talks by famous writers. The best is that it’s all included in the price of the ticket which is only £11! From explorers and adventurers to politicians and poets, the festival brings to life the magical world of travel writing.
According to the company’s website, visitors can take advantage of a host of ‘show-only’ exclusive offers, discounts and upgrades from leading travel companies around the globe. The show is also home to master classes in travel photography and food tastings, travel writing & travel health advice.
Other travel writers – experienced or not – will also attend so it is a perfect event to network.
Rob Debenham, Show Manager says: “The show is a ‘must-visit’ event for anyone interested in holidays and travel, with the UK’s biggest choice of travel ideas from leading and independent travel companies.”
My Big Inspiration
Since I’ve entered my new 7-year life cycle I’ve decided to embark on something new and become a travel writer. It doesn’t cost very much and I’ve travelled the world far and wide so I have a lot to write about. All I needed was a small investment in this website and to put fingers to the keyboard! Networking is also very important, so I decided to attend the Destinations Travel Show.
I’ve managed to set up a quite swanky website with very little effort. I also have a Facebook page and my Twitter handle. The next step I thought would be to attend trade events to network and to tell everyone about my new site.
