Quality Inn Chicago O’Hare Review

Quality Inn Chicago O’Hare

The Quality Inn by the airport near Chicago O’Hare is a low-cost motel with two floors, overlooking Mannheim Road at the front and I-94 to the back.

The Quality Inn is about 10 or 15 minutes driving from the main Chicago O’Hare Airport terminals, making it the perfect location for overnight stays if you need to change flights or missed your connection.

The actual address for this Quality Inn is 3801 North Mannheim Road, Schiller Park, just up the road from the Advantage Car Hire pick-up desk.

Quality Inn Room at O’Hare

The Bed at the Quality Inn O’Hare

My room at the Quality Inn near O’Hare airport cost $74.17, including taxes, which I thought was a reasonable price for a room with two double beds, a TV, an en-suite bathroom and various other amenities.

I booked directly on the Choice Hotels website because that way I could collect points which later I redeemed for free nights during my holiday in California.

Freshly Renovated

Big TV and Armchair

This Quality Inn was also recently renovated and the corridors smelled very fresh and clean. My room was on the second floor, overlooking Mannheim Road and the garden at the center.

The room was very clean and my bed was super comfy, I fell asleep straight away and did not wake up until next morning. It might have been the jetlag or just general tiredness but it rarely ever happens – normally I wake up in the middle of the night in the US.

Double Glazed Windows

View from Quality Inn Room at Chicago O’Hare

The room at this Quality Inn had a double glazed window and an air conditioner, which came in handy as it was getting warmer in June.

My room was recently painted and the beds seemed new so I was happy. The TV was also very modern, a recent model Samsung flat screen TV.

There was also a fridge, a safe and a cupboard plus an armchair in the corner which I really enjoyed sitting in, looking out of the window at the traffic passing by.

This part of town is not particularly busy and so after 11PM the streets went very quiet and I could even leave the window open for a while. I did end up closing the window later on as I wanted to sleep in until later and did not want to be woken by any noise.

Quality Inn Bathroom

Brand New Clean Bathroom

The bathroom was very spacious with the special Quality Inn curved shower curtain pole and a big mirror with a hair dryer. The towels smelled fresh and I think they may have also used bleach to clean them as they were super clean.

I always laugh when I stay at a Quality Inn because I once read that the shower curtain rail is a special Quality Inn feature: it bends nicely, giving you more space!

Quality Inn Desk in Room

Desk for Working

The carpet was thick and clean without any smudges, so I braved walking around barefeet, which I don’t normally do in US motels as most people tend to walk around in their shoes, making the carpets filthy.

The bedside lamps and cabinets were very handy, although what was missin was a USB plug which I have been finding in more and more hotels in recent months. Anyhow, I plugged my charger in the wall and charged that way instead of using a USB charger.

Quality Inn Shower Rail

Quality Inn with Bendy Shower Rail

The water in the shower and in the tap was hot almost instantly and there was also a bathtub so if you feel like you can even lie down a while.

I was very happy staying at this Quality Inn Motel and I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay by the airport or needing a break off Interstate 94.

The only thing I did not like was that the fridge was a bit noisy, but anyway, it was very easy to turn it off and it did not bother me afterward.
